Josselyn Segura is a graduate counseling intern who is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and strives to meet each client where they are with empathy, compassion, and curiosity.

Josselyn views each client as an individual with unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Her approach helps clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, build self-awareness, and navigate life’s challenges in a therapeutic experience that feels safe, supportive, and meaningful.

Background

Education and experience

Josselyn is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School. She has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults across a variety of clinical presentations and individual needs.

Her clinical experience includes supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, behavioral challenges, and psychosis-related symptoms. These experiences have strengthened her appreciation for individualized care and the importance of meeting clients where they are.

Josselyn is particularly interested in supporting women and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. As a counseling intern, she practices under clinical supervision and is committed to continued learning and professional development.
