I work full time as Program Manager for a violence reduction initiative.

Short of 5 years, I worked for the Cook County Department of Corrections (CCDOC), first as a behavioral health specialist in the Office of Mental Health Policy and Advocacy, and later as a program manager. I have worked as a crisis counselor for Weiss Memorial, Community First Medical Center, and St. Anthony emergency room.
I have experience in providing both group and individual therapy for those who experience substance use, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and co-occurring disorders.
I am passionate about empowering under-represented individuals to have an equal voice in decision making processes that affect their lives, to enhance their overall well-being.
