Amy Ferrara LCSW, CADC

About Amy

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I have worked in the mental health field for over 25 years in hospitals, residential programs and social service agencies and have provided counseling to clients from adolescents to older adults.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I have also completed coursework to obtain a Certification in alcohol and drug counseling.

I’m a client centered therapist who feels that it is essential to meet clients where they are at and to try to offer a safe space to allow them to express their thoughts and feelings. I believe that our past can influence our present but it does not have to determine our future. I have worked with a very diverse group of clients that have had various mental health issues such as major depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse issues, chronic health issues, grief and loss issues and a variety of life transitions. I try to help clients focus on their strengths and offer a solution focused approach. I have sincerely enjoyed working with a variety of clients through the years on their unique journeys of self-discovery and healing and am often in awe of how resilient clients can be despite all that they have experienced!

Amy provides both in office and telehealth therapy services.
